What are DIY van signs?

DIY van signs are stickers you put on your van yourself. They are made of vinyl, a strong and bendy sticker material. I make each kit for your van and your business. It comes ready to stick on. You can fit it yourself, or ask a fitter to do it.

Do you do van signwriting, or do I fit the signs myself?

I design and make the van signwriting. You put it on your van. I don't fit signs myself. You can do it yourself, or ask any sign fitter you like.

Will the van signs fit my van?

Yes. Pick your exact van when you order. The kit is made to fit it. Basic kits are listed by van and size, like SWB, MWB or LWB. These mean a short, medium or long van.

How do I order DIY van signs?

Basic kits take 3 simple steps. First, type in your details. Pick a colour, and a font for your business name. A font is the style of the letters. Second, pay for your kit. Third, I change the design and make it ready to stick on. For full kits, pick your van and send me your details. I design it and send you a proof. A proof is a picture of your design to check.

How are the full van signage kits different?

Full kits don't start from a ready-made design. I make each one just for your van. I use the details you send me. You check a proof of the design first.

Do I see my van signs before they're made?

Yes. I always send a proof before anything gets made. That's a picture of your design. If you don't like it, I keep changing it until you're happy.

I don't have a logo. Can I still get van business signs?

Yes. Words on their own look great. Or you can send me examples you like. Then I can make something for you.

What comes in a DIY van sign kit?

Every kit comes already cut out. It is taped up, so the letters stay in place. Each piece is labelled with the part of the van it goes on. Straight lines are marked to help you. It also comes with a tool to smooth the stickers on.

How long do van signs take?

You get a proof in 1–2 days. I make your kit 3–5 working days after you say yes. Then it takes 1–2 days in the post. You can pick faster postage when you pay.

Can I fit van signs myself?

Yes. Thousands of customers fit my stickers themselves every year. First, clean off all dirt, grease, wax and polish. Pick a dry day between 10°C and 25°C. Put the sign in place before you peel off the backing paper. Take your time. Watch my fitting videos first. If you get stuck, send me a WhatsApp message.

What if I get bubbles or make a mistake?

Small bubbles are normal. They often go away in a few days. For a big bubble, poke a tiny hole with a fine pin. Then press the air out with the smoothing tool. If you mess up one piece, I'll make that bit again. There's just a small fee.

How long do vinyl van signs last?

They last 5 years or more. Vinyl is the strong sticker material they are made of. The upright sides of a van usually wear more. That's because they get more sun. Some van signs I've made were still on the road 8–10 years later.

Can van signs be removed?

Yes. They are easy to peel off. Warming them with a hair dryer first makes it easier. Any sticky glue left behind comes off with glue remover.

Can I see what my van would look like before I buy a kit?

Yes. Try Design My Van Signs. I make a picture of how your van could look. You see it before you buy a full kit.
